Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces, using a series of clear removable aligners. Invisalign has been proven effective in clinical research and in orthodontic practices nationwide.
On your first visit, Dr. Stuart MacDonald or Dr. Richard Bankhead will create a plaster mold of your teeth. Using that mold, Invisalign will use computer imaging technology to create a set of transparent aligners for your top and bottom teeth.
You'll wear the first aligner 24 hours a day, taking them out only to eat, brush your teeth, and floss. Over the first two weeks, your teeth will gradually move from their present locations to their new, perfectly positioned locations.
At the end of the first two weeks, you'll stop wearing the first aligner (or aligners, if both your top and bottom teeth are being straightened), and begin wearing the next aligner in the set. Every two weeks you'll change to a new aligner until, with the last set, your teeth will have moved into position to give you that beautiful, confident smile you've always wanted, and you'll no longer have to wear any aligner!
