Child/Youth Oral Hygiene Toothbrush

The first visit for a child should be at age two, approximately. If the child is not quite prepared to have a cleaning, at least a short ride in the chair will help the child become more comfortable with being in the dental office. This is often a good idea, since the child may at first feel that it is a medical office, where he or she may have had unpleasant experiences. Then, every six months, a routine schedule of cleanings should be performed.
